The Society of Toxicology is the leading organization dedicated to creating a safer and healthier world by advancing the science of toxicology. Founded in 1961, the Society of Toxicology (SOT) is an organization of both professional and educational purpose, intended to represent anyone who is involved in the field of toxicology. The first annual meeting of the Society of Toxicology was held in the Chevy Chase Room of the Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel in Atlantic City on April 15, 1962 (founders picture).
