Operation Davey Jones' Locker was a British operation aimed at disposing confiscated stocks of German Mustard Gas, Phosgene, and other Chemical Weapons (Tucker, 2006). From June 1946 to August 1948, thirty eight German ships were loaded with 168,000 tons of Chemical Weapons and scuttled in either the North Sea or the Skaggerak Strait near Norway (Tucker, 2006).
